My flatmates and I decided to be bold and take the tram to one of Prague's bigger markets called Tesco. I thought that shopping for food would make me feel at home and "nest," but upon arriving at the store (it was on the level of a target or walmart...so think big), I realized that it wouldn't be a relaxing shopping experience! First of all, everything was labeled in Czech. I know this seems obvious, but for some reason, I thought that many of the things here would have English translations. I was in search of yogurt but found an extensive selection of sausages instead. And nutella. I found the nutella. Klara, a Czech friend of mine who studied abroad in Brentwood for a year, came to our flat in the afternoon and Dani and I rushed to her and begged her to tell us what we actually bought at the grocery store because we truly had no clue. She thought it was hilarious, but we were just happy to know that the yogurt we bought was actually yogurt and not actually a Tzatziki dip or something. She then took us to the Lennon wall on the other side of the river. It was so awesome walking around Prague with a native Czech. The wall was incredible. It was so vibrant and full of color and I feel like I fulfilled a necessary study abroad duty by taking a picture at the wall. We then walked along the crowded Charles Bridge and people watched and took photos. We walked back to our flat and stopped in a market for some more cooking supplies. I feel like I'm starting to get my bearings around our neighborhood which definitely relieves some anxiety. Prague is breathtaking and I'm impressed by every turn of each corner.
Czeching out,
Grace
The famous Charles Bridge
The Lennon Wall
This small bridge was covered in locks! Reminded me of the love locks in Paris.

So happy to hang with Klara! Was so amazing to see her.
Dani and I at the Lennon Wall. We both loved it!
